Berlin/Lisbon, 24 April 2024 - The NUMA Group, Europe's leading operator of a fully digitalised hospitality platform, has announced the appointment of Antonio Fragateiro to its real estate team. As Director Real Estate for Portugal, Fragateiro will strengthen the Group's presence in Portugal and lead NUMA's expansion in the country.

Based in Porto, Antonio Fragateiro will be responsible for driving NUMA's growth in Portugal, a country which welcomed over 30 million visitors in 2023 alone. Fragateiro has a background in business administration, finance, and sales, as well as extensive knowledge of the Portuguese tourism industry. Prior to joining NUMA, he most recently served as Global Head of Sales for the GuestReady Group, where he led the short-term property management company’s efforts in Europe and the Middle East.

 Fragateiro will be driving NUMA’s growth in the Portuguese market, which the company has already begun to establish. In Lisbon, the first NUMA hotel, NUMA Voga, will open this summer. The property was previously the headquarters of the Federação Portuguesa de Futebol (FPF), the governing association of Portuguese soccer clubs and will make for an iconic start in the city. NUMA’s other upcoming location in the city is a 41-unit property in Rua Dos Lusiadas 93-99, in the Alcantara neighborhood and expected to open in the second half of 2025. In Porto, NUMA has also recently secured the lease for a 96-unit property located at Rua Barao de Forrester 730-732. Located in Cedofeita, this former warehouse is now being converted into modern tourist accommodations.
