Munich, 14 May 2024 - NUMA Group, Europe’s leading operator of a fully digitized hospitality platform, is set to take over 47 apartment units in Munich as part of a renovation project led by SORAVIA. The SORAVIA group operates across a wide range of real estate sectors and boasts 97 operational hotels and 51 hotels under development within the hospitality sector alone. The company’s total hospitality sector development volume amounts to EUR 650 million. SORAVIA is also an investor in the pan-European expansion of NUMA.
NUMA Mona is situated at Landwehrstrasse 56, 80336 Munich, and comprises 47 apartment units and a spacious gross floor area of 2,441 square meters. Conveniently located just 200 meters from Theresienwiese, the iconic venue of the world-renowned Oktoberfest, the residence is also less than a 10-minute walk from Munich Central Station. Popular attractions in the historic old town, such as the Frauenkirche, Marienplatz, and the Viktualienmarkt, can all be reached with a leisurely 20-minute stroll. The former three-star hotel will be operated in accordance with NUMA’s uniform standards. The building revitalization measures included the renovation of the entire building envelope, upgrades to the building services including wiring, and the core refurbishment of the rooms. Furthermore, the building’s energy efficiency has been enhanced to meet KfW Standard 55. NUMA Mona is scheduled to start operations in July this year.
“With the addition of NUMA Mona, our portfolio in Munich is expanding to include another property that aligns seamlessly with our urban-centric strategy. SORAVIA has proven to be a dependable partner in the revitalization of existing properties, and a key investor in the continued growth of NUMA. We are excited to announce that more properties from this successful collaboration will be going into operation soon,” explains Dimitri Chandogin, CEO of the NUMA Group.
SORAVIA is set to renovate a total of three former hotels in Munich for NUMA Group. Following the handover of NUMA Mona at Landwehrstrasse 56, construction will commence in May on the adjacent building at Landwehrstrasse 65. Additionally, a refurbishment project at Schwanenthalerstrasse 63 will begin once planning permission has been granted.
“SORAVIA’s investment in the NUMA Group reflects our commitment to NUMA’s unique hospitality concept, which combines the best features of classic hotels with the flexibility of short-term rentals. Through our ongoing revitalization series in Munich, we are further solidifying our partnership with NUMA, one of the most promising start-ups in the European market. Our exceptional expertise in both property development and hospitality will lead to synergies that will benefit both companies,” adds Erwin Soravia, CEO of SORAVIA.
